Best Management Practice (BMP) Information
The Importance of BMPs
Protection of the quality of water and the diversity of life forms found in lakes, streams, estuaries, bays, wetlands and other sensitive environments of North America is a goal and responsibility shared by everyone. An endless list of activities can impact these environments: storm waters that run off streets, exhaust from boats and cars, municipal and industry discharges, and construction of homes, docks and piers. It is everyone's responsibility to maintain the quality of our treasured resources.
